Inauguration Ceremony of the Swiss–China Tibetan Chamber of Commerce
On May 20, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Swiss China Tibetan Chamber of Commerce was grandly held in the capital, Bern.
Mr. Qu Dan was elected as the first president. The ceremony gathered representatives and well-wishers from the Embassy of China in Switzerland, the Consulate-General of China in Zurich, Tibetan communities in Switzerland, prominent local Swiss companies, Chinese associations, and Chinese enterprises. Counselor Li Qiong from the Chinese Embassy expressed high hopes for the Chamber’s establishment, hoping it will fully serve as a bridge and link, comply with local laws, actively give back to the local community, leverage its strengths to promote practical China–Switzerland cooperation, and act as an ambassador for enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.
President Qu Dan officially announced the establishment of the Swiss–China Tibetan Chamber of Commerce, stating that the Chamber will adhere to its mission, build platforms, serve its members, and contribute to the economic prosperity of both Switzerland and the Tibetan regions of China. The ceremony marked a solid foundation for the Chamber to serve as a bridge between China and Switzerland and to expand diverse opportunities for cooperation.
